Finding walkable tiles is hard

No graphics work, no cool events or story elements. Just the hard math behind tile generation and movement. Right now I am struggling to find a way to solve the problem of finding all reachable tiles from the players position.

Doing this with the direct neighbors is easy, but when it comes to going through all the neighbors of the neighbors we have to keep track of all checked positions, of the rest of the movement points and stuff like this.

Since this is no new problem to the gaming world, I think it is pretty easy to solve once you get behind it. But right now it is really grinding my gears. Hopefully not the project breaker because there is absolutely no fun in it. 😀
